Number of beneficiaries of the System of Incentives for the Agro-environmental Sustainability of Agricultural Soils (SIRSD-S) Program, whose purpose is to recover the productive potential of degraded agricultural soils and maintain the levels of improvement achieved. The types of projects are varied and may include the following: incorporation of phosphorus-based fertilizers; incorporation of essential chemical elements; establishment of vegetation cover on bare or deteriorated soils; use of methods aimed at preventing soil loss and erosion; and elimination, cleaning, or confinement of physical or chemical impediments (Source: Agricultural Development Institute (INDAP)).
