Amount of money invested in projects executed by the System of Incentives for the Agro-environmental Sustainability of Agricultural Soils (SIRSD-S), which seeks to recover the productive potential of degraded agricultural soils and maintain the levels of improvement achieved. The types of projects are varied and may include the following: use of phosphorus-based fertilizers, use of essential chemical elements, establishment of vegetation cover on bare or deteriorated soils, use of methods aimed at preventing soil loss and erosion, and the elimination, cleaning or confinement of physical or chemical impediments (Source: The Agricultural Development Institute).
