Number of abandoned national mining operations. An abandoned mining operation is one that has ceased operations without complying with the closure obligations, that is, without implementing the corresponding activities and procedures for closure. A mining operation is understood to be all labor, beginning at the stage of construction, undertaken in facilities for extractive mining.
